Matt Griffin A.K.A "Killa Taz" was born Nov. 23, 1986 in Syracuse, NY.  At the age of 7, he started DJ'ing and mixing music.  After his uncle passed away in 96', he started writing poetry and songs to mask the pain of his loss.  In 2000, he and his family moved to Pittsburg, CA, where he enhanced his skills.  He started his own rap group call "Phat Kat" that included some friends.  As hour on the clock accumulated, so did his passion for writing music and poetry.  He pushes himself to master his craft and to enhance his skills.  This year, he has released 3 mixtapes called "Welcome To the World of Killa Taz", "Tazmania" and  "Last Words".  In addition he uses his talents to give back to his community working as a sound and music engineer for his church.
